A multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, arranger, music producer and artivist, Bia Ferreira was born in Minas Gerais countryside and began her studies in music at the age of 3. She conceptualize her art as BWM: Black Woman Music. She started communicating artfully with the aim of educating, raising awareness and informing people on the demands of the anti-racist struggle in Brazil, as well as on issues related to the LGBTQIA+ movement and Afro-centered love. Her songs are mandatory reading for the University of Brasília (UnB) entrance exam and are present in the textbooks of the Sesi-SP (São Paulo Industrial Social Service) system.
